timing problems

i have a 1g with a 2g head and i just put the head back on i need help finding the timing specs. i would like to advance them so i could get more tq. could anybody help me out by telling me were i could get the spec or if sombody could give them to me

yea i have stock cam gears

the timing marks were all set before i put the belt back on but i did forget were the spark plugs go so that could also be the problem

You have to have adjustable cam gears to dial in timing like that. However you can adjust your base timing by moving the CAS.

Timing advancement should only be done with the iginition timing. Changing the timing on your valvetrain is asking for DEATH TO YOUR MOTOR! I know there is a tiny little bit of extra "Tune" you can suck out of the car by adjusting the cams, but seriously, DEATH to your motor if you are wrong even 1 tooth too many!

I have adjustable gears and thats only to cheat when setting the timing, nothing else. If you get adjustable gears, get good ones. Cheap adjustable gears will also kill your car!
