hey guys i am going to be installing AEM FIC this weekend witch is going to be great because now i can pull timing out of my motor when it starts making good boost. so my question is at what boost level should i start to retard my timing? the car hits boost around 3,500 rpm and then hits hard at 4k. i am running a hx40. so i was thinking of pulling 1 degree per lbs of boost after 8lbs. what do you guys think about that?

Timing is usually pulled when one encounters engine knock. if anything, I would be adding timing until the point of knocking and then start retarding it some to get rid of the knock in the areas knock is picked up by your sensor. that way u will make the most power. make sure you have the upgrades to your car to go along with the added horse power.
