Well eventually im gonna start tuning and im using the safc with 650cc injectors so I know I could possibly have some timing issues.

Can someone tell me what is the ideal range for timing, how its suppose to fluctuate threw the rpms's, how you tell if theres knock and how bad, and anything else i should know.

Just to let you know when I start I am planning on running a evoIII16g at around 18psi. I should have a full 3in exhaust, possibly fmic, and everything else thats in my profile. Ofcourse the 650's to.

Essentially when you go WOT (wide open throttle) your timing should dip at the point of full boost (around 8-9*) and go in a linear curve upwards to a desired 18-20* of timing. When using larger injectors like 650s on an SAFC, you will be taking out in excess of 35% on the SAFC for correction. When doing so, you are altering airflow readings to the ECU and therefore putting it in a more aggressive timing map that will sometimes shoot you past 20+* of timing.

Don't be scared though, there's nothing to SAFC tuning. It's actually extremely easy once you understand the concept. Go ahead and read this few threads and you'll see what I mean.
