time your car with a timing light after you're done changing the belt?

Are you supposed to time your car with a timing light after you're done changing the belt, and tensioner??? my car runs fine but a little sluggish would that be because i never timed it with a gun? because i know its timed right with the belt...

Could you not just use a logger and see what degree your at? and use the logger to time it?

No because the ECU assumes you're at 5 degrees base timing regardless of what it actually is.
