Toronto,
I have an SBR 3500 clutch w/ fidazna FW and once in a while when I shift I get this THUNK that kinda sounds like its coming from the REAR of the car, but I could be wrong. I almost always get a thunk when speed shifting or downshifting without perfect rev matches. Even when I'm trying to baby it, I'll get the occasional thunk. I don't agressively drop the clutch for this to happen sometimes and the only solution is to slip it everytime I change gears. My clutch pedal play is about 1/3 travel from the floor.
Help a fellow DSMer
I hope this doesn't eat my transmission or my clutch up! Or should I not worry about this?
Please try not to chalk this up to a bad driver, I've driven tons of standard cars, including a bone stock GSX and have never had this problem shifting before.
