:dsm: Three weeks ago i fried my computer. I got a new computer but, when i started it idiled low and shut off. When i step on the gas it pauses and takes a few seconds to rev. Even at full throttle it takes time to rev. What do you think could cause this problem and how can i fix it?

Your fuel trims shouldn't have anything to do with that.

I see you have a '90 GSX. Did you get a '90 ECU? Or another year? Two of the pins are switched around on the 91-94 model years as opposed to the '90 model; your idle switch and your idle position switch pins. If you have a later model ECU, simply switch these pins around and it should work just like before.

Go here to see exactly what pins (wires) should be switched on your harness:

If you need to see what model your new ECU came from, go here:

Give the ecu some time to come up with trims /shrug.

If its driveable just take it for a small troll around the block till it seems to equal out.

I will try it tomorrow

I bought a 1990 gsx eprom euc with the tmo chip

Is it possible that your ECU was switched with your previous owner? Maybe he/she bought a newer ECU and had the wires switched.

Have you matched your ECU numbers up with that chart I gave you? Perhaps there was a mistake in the year when you bought it. Either way, it's an easy and almost costless fix.

I just check the numbers on both eprom ecu and original ecu they are the same so what esle could be the problem?
