The gst is my first manual car.

Any how when I went to the car show and sat in some of the carI noticed the clutch feels alot different then mine. I also drove my friends 92 gsx and it's different then my car as well.

Basically when I push in the clutch it gradually get's harder to push until it's pushed all the way to the floor and stops. It starts to engage almost right off the floor which seems to make for good launches from slipping the clutch.

Any how my friends GSX and the cars at the car show when you push in the clutch it seems to slowly get harder to push but then it feels like a pop or give in right before the clutch is to the floor.

What's normal and is it a big deal? What would cause my clutch to feel so different? I think my car still has the stock clutch installed.

my clutch did the same thing. unless they have an aftermarket upgraded clutch kit im not sure if its pose to be like that. but i used a stock clutch kit and mine did what u described. my clutch fork was way off towards the passeger side. mine wasnt pose to be like that. after i reinstalled a new kit and shimmed the pivot ball and adjusted the adjustment rod. it pushed in easy and didnt pop anymore.

Well its not popping. Is it suppose to give in (pop) after it disengages like all the other cars I sat in?

when mine "poped" i found it very annoying and hard to release the clutch without dumping it everytime. all the manual tranny cars/trucks i drove never "poped" so to me, im sure its not suppose to do that. unless these cars uve sat in and pushed clutch in has an upgraded clutch kit.

My stock GS-T clutch engages almost immediately as well.

The pedal resistance of mine is pretty much constant all the way down, and may actually get a bit lighter toward the floor.
