This is why I don't take my car places to get stuff done

It can be done. I've had to a few times when I had no axle socket and when I was helping a friend yank his engine/tranny

Sure you "can" without taking it loose from the hub. But you still have to pop it out of the trans. Hence he had to have "touched" it.

And I highly doubt a shop wouldn't have a socket, wrench, or even, get this. A crescent wrench.

Yeah I know I wasn't saying they did not. They had to if they handed him the clips. But you have ti be Careful about who works on your car. I had an alignment done at Firestone and right out of the shop the guy got on road and hit it hard. Now please tell me why you need to push a car to see if the alignment is good? And just as he was coming back getting in the shop road he did it again.
Just because my car has a turbo doesn't give you the right/need to drive it hard.

Ill be honest, in the past, when I have dropped my car off at a shop, I completely unscrew the MBC screw and remove the ball and spring and I take those three things home with me. Cant beat my car if you cant make boost.

Absolutely.

Never let any shop drive or touch my car unless I'm around. Had a bad experience with a tire shop revving the piss out of it then lieing about it.

Thats messed up man. Id go up to the shop in person and talk face to face to get the results you need.

Way I see it they owe you for a windshield, an oem dust cover, and someone needs to be fired for the joy ride.

I always say to hide your MBC somewhere in the bay. It may be pretty and match your color scheme but its too risky to have it right there for anyone to touch. Mayeb its because the horror stories ive heard. One of them being a fully built 1g than ran 10s... Guy went to the track and left his hood popped. Someone came over and cranked the boost all the way up and he threw a rod through the block on the next pass.

I paid a shop to drop in the motor for 250.

When i showed up to pick up my car, a employee there offered to sell me a bov.

What made me want to burn down the shop, was he showed me a video of the bov installed in my car while they where revving that shit. They delayed me for a day and realizing this guy even took the time to make his ghetto piping to fit my flange while he should of been getting it done was enraging.

Im still getting pissed thinking about this right now.

Justin, like I mentioned on the phone....lets just go over and burn that place down.

You don't mess with a man's DSM, you just don't.

But seriously, call a lawyer, get a real opinion. You have the cleanest DSM ive seen in person and they obviously had a 50+ mile joy ride in it.

Lol I'm not putting anything of mine at risk. I'm still talking to a few people about what to do but I should have done what you told me to do in the first place. I'll keep everyone posted

wow that sucks dude. if i ever take any good car into a shop i think ill put a GPS in there + log it constantly with ecmlink maybe even a camera. Dont #### with my DSM :D
