This car is possesed!

Here is what happened.

1. dash lights dimmed a bit
2. stereo turned off and then back on by itself
3. started to get idle surge up to 2000 RPMS when rolling to a stop
4. noise and feedback from the clutch when I shifted and and stated to accelerate.
5 Car threw a CEL and then after a restart was fine
6. pulled into a parking lot turned her off went to crank again and everything was dead
7. 20 minutes later lights were back on and she could crank.WTF

What is most likely wrong with "Christine"?

I have narrowed it down to the following causes.

check for loose ground connections
battery
alternator
cleaning maf sensors
fuel filter
ISC motor
clean throttle body
egr valve

Anything else I should check for?

I'd start by checking your battery....(you can go to batteries plus)
and cleaning your battery terminals.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong but I think you can bring your alternator into a napa and they will test that for you as well.

That sounds like a classic alternator problem to me.

Check battery terminals. I had similar issues and it turned out to be that I needed new ones. I got new ones from autozone and then everything was a okay.

When random electrical things like you mentioned happen it is most likely the alternator. When my alternator went my horn would randomly go off.

Something along the same lines happned to me. I would corner and my car would just shut off. Or just driving my stereo would go off then come back on. Turned out i just had a loose connection on my terminals.

Well it was a loose connection on the negative battery terminal. However I still get a high idle when the clutch is depressed @ 1500 RPM. and When starting it shoots up to 2000 RPM Any ideas?

Check the ISC and TPS.
