So I'm thinking about getting a 96 gst. I'm new to this kind of car. The motor only has 55k on it and the body has 86k on it. The guy is looking for 2900 for it. The motor and transmission are very sound, no rust at all. Over all a strong running car. The bad, the gas pedal is a little tough the push on, slight vibration on the right front and the interior is a little rough. But everything works. Is it worth it?

Burn that interior..... the vibration could be a ball joint or wheel bearing. Not sure about the gas pedal. Could need a new throttle cable, or maybe just an adjustment first. If that's all that's wrong, I see it as a good deal.

Throttle is easy and cheap to fix no matter what is wrong. Same with the vibration (probably a ball joint/control arm). Talk him down to $2,500 or so and put some cash aside to do a timing belt and water pump job asap.
