ok, so i came across a 1996 GS-T this guy was selling it for 1500 so i offered him a trade of my four wheeler (which was a piece) for his car and he took it so im pretty excited... the only thing is that it has a couple of problems i haven't encountered with my previous dsm... he said it needs new cam bearings, a cam gear key on the crank, and a distribution block gasket. and i am now just informed that the reason i have never heard of these parts is that they dont exist... makes sense
well im off to see what the real problem is i guess...
ok so here is the latest... i just received an email from the guy i bought the car from and this is what it says word for word "the block that has 2 hoses come off it that go to the turbo had the gasket go out and the oil sprayed out and didnt oil the cams. that fried the cam bearings. when the cams stopped turning the belt couldnt turn to the timing gear on the crank and stopped without the crank stopping and the key in it was twisted out... so if that makes sense to anyone i would appreciate your help
