... had to pull it back out and put the stock one back in, it didnt look bad at least, no cracks at all but there were a few heat rashes here and there. installed southbend clutch..
got a flywheel from banishedmunk only to find out after getting it resurfaced, and installed, that it was a FWD flywheels and too big for the awd trans... had to pull it back out and put the stock one back in, it didnt look bad at least, no cracks at all but there were a few heat rashes here and there.
have to put a 1g slave back in the car, as much as i like the lower pedal pressure, i have to put it 1 thread past. where the slave will return in order to get the clutch to disenguage.
overall new cluch holds like a f@cking champ. pedal pressure feels identical to the CFDF clutch... oddly they were both also stamped with the same markings in the face of the wheel... dunno if its something that all clutch's have or not but thought it was interesting anyway.
Yep.burnt out most of the the rubber from the rear end, Corey do i need to burn out the rear end pumkin bushings for the Hanna Montana mounts? i think i got cancer from breathing that shyt in.
Hah. You know the tooth count on a FWD flywheel is different than the AWD, being that you're a Marine, though, I'm not sure you can count to 100 to check.it was worth a shot

Not my car but I still did work on it.
I have been working on a 95 gsx with 78K on he odometer that is with its original owner. I just replaced the timing belt, balance shaft belt, all pulleys, and water pump. since the car has been sitting for a VERY long time it is getting the rock star treatment. all new fluids all new belts new filter and new pcv valve. It is also getting a nice set of evo8 enkeis. with it sitting for so long the fuel in the tank had laquered so it was completely drained all the hangars were pulled and sand blasted, then treated to prevent corrosion. today it will be getting a full coolant system flush and then it is road worthy again.

If those wheel locks are OE from the dealership, which I'm fairly certain yours are, you can go to any Mitsu parts department and buy one for $20. I broke mine in the past and apparently Mitsu only uses 6 different combinations of wheel locks, they just walk out there with the set and try all of them until they find one that fits.
But I have a new 2gb front bumper and headlights and once all the maintenance is done and mechanical bugs worked I will send it in for paint and new tint and she will be looking good for real....make that 5 car lengths behind me Ed, then I'll agree.no biggy, most of the cars on this sight look amazing from 10 feet away.
