Buying a new exhaust to put on when I throw on the new turbo next time. I've been looking around and I am looking for a loud, good souding 3". I keep hearing about Thermal and I wanted to know other people's opinions on this catback.

I also want to know if i would be able to use my current down pipe with this catback.. I have a Megan Racing downpipe.

im runnin the 3" thermal along with the megan racing dp that eliminates the cat and wow man it sounds so damn good, but the thermal wont bolt directly up to the DP i had to take it to a exhaust shop got them to cut maybe 2-3" off the mid pipe and down pipe and weld a 3" section connecting the dp and the mid pipe, only cost me like 30 bucks :thumb:

I have the full 3" TBE and love the sound. Even have a high flow cat in there and it keeps its nice a deep. A lot of my friends run it too and it isn't loud at all cruising.

RRE will fit. That is what came with my exhaust.

Any idea what dp I should get?? The choices are all here... http://www.roadraceengineering.com/eclexhaust.htm

I'm guessing the "2G FWD Long EVO O2 Housing", since I have no cat and I am going to have an EVO 3 O2 sensor housing? Not sure what length I need to bolt to the Thermal exhaust..

The thermal is starting too look annoying because they don't make a matching dp for it.. Is there any other 3" exhaust that doesn't have a resinator and has a pretty loud sound to it?

I just cut the flanges off my downpipe and catback. Slipped in a 3" high flow cat. and just two exhaust clamps. No leaks what so ever. Everything slipped together perfect.

I have changed my whole idea as of today. I stopped by a local speed shop and got prices on a bunch of things. They said they could custom make me a 3" catback for about 450 installed.. I'm just going to have one made to bolt up to my megan downpipe..

My question now is.. what muffler should I have them put on.. I want it loud so I am going to have them make it straight piped to the muffler.. but I have no idea what muffler to get.. any ideas on a loud, but nice sounding muffler??

Loud and nice don't go together. Why pay $450 for an exhaust when you can get a Megan Racing 3" catback off ebay for around $250.

Loud and nice can go together if you do it right.. I also don't really like the sound of the megan catback, plus I want to have an exhaust made that is straight piped with no resonators..

Get a Magnaflow or Apexi N1. I have heard both on my friends cars, but am unsure of which Magnaflow it was. They are fairly inexpensive on Ebay, and can only help your performance.

Magnaflows always sound good; they put a lot of thought into their designs.
