I acquired my car via trade of my 1991 laser rs turbo. A trade i didn't want to make, but had to. Mainly because i had no money and work has been less than reliable the last few years. however i still have that tuner bug in me and can't help myself when it comes to modding, even on a budget of 0. The eclipse already had some e-bay parts on it. Short shifter, shift knob, exhaust header, test pipe, and a hi-flow muffler.
My first mod came from a phone call. a friend of mine working at a local tire shop set aside a set of 17" 2002 eclipse gt rims. i guess a customer had bought a new set of rims and he was going to take them for scrap if i wasn't interested. but i thought what the hell why not its free. so a couple cans of black paint(which i had laying around my garage since forever) and i had my self a set of good looking wheels to roll on. total cost 2 hours and $0
My second mod i stumbled upon while cleaning out my garage trying to find stuff to sell. sitting on the back of a shelf covered in years of dust was a steering wheel i had ordered for a 1994 3000gt sl. which i had finally finished parting out to keep the bills paid an extra month or so. apparently Mitsubishi didn't change the steering hub splines at all. it fit perfectly and matched too. total coast 30 minutes and $0
My latest mod was a bit more tricky but hey when its free its for me. a friend of mine had bought some BC coil overs for his 2009 lancer gts. leaving behind his stock struts and a set of eibach springs. he gave them too me for helping with the install and doing his initial alignment. it took use about 8 hours and some real mind power but we got them too not only fit but function as well. total cost 10 hours and $0

so far its shaping up to be a $0 dollar build and with hopes of more mods to come i'm actually excited for the N/A Zero Dollar Fighter
