you can buy wiring harness's off of here or even get a shell for like 300 bucks and swap every thing out

That's what I needed to hear. But it's a huge job to swap out the entire wiring harness as well, but almost impossible to match up all those wires correctly.

Going to look at a 91 AWD Auto tonight for 500 bucks, has a new head gasket, needs head work, if i can't get it running right its getting parted out, either way I'm not losing money. Go for it!!!!

i say go for it, 400 bucks isnt even a paycheck, and if you end up not being able to fix it, you could most likely sell it for parts and get more than 400 back 4 it......... turbo 1gs go for about 4 grand up here.......

Not worth it IMO...but to me Mitsubishi's aren't really worth all the trouble unless it's an AWD Turbo model.

My bad, the question asked was how much it was worth. I put in the estimated asking price. Look at DSMs on autotrader.com, there are a few 97GSXs with 80,xxx miles for $12,000.

Funny thing is I emailed a guy last week, he has a 97 GSX with 69xxx miles and a crankwalked motor. He is asking $7500obo. I offered $3000 and never heard back from him.

oh, wow, stock 97 gsx are like 7600 with his kind of mileage, plus his motor so a little more. i dont want his mods. he wants to trade plus give me cash for my 02 stage 4 wrx.
