Id say no the car looks like it's been sitting for a while, also the RS is the plain jane model no cruise control, No power windows or locks no power mirrors. Also he admitted it had problems and normally if he's telling u it has problems it has problems hes probably not telling you about. Id skip this one and look for a GST or GSX if you want turbo. Or go with the GS model with better features. That's just my 2 cents.

its not a bad deal but the head will need redone with new valves and guides most likely. Along with the water pump, timing belt and tensioner. but overall not a bad deal, if I was closer Id buy it, fix it and sell it. I say why not?

how much would it cost to fix everthing assuming i do it myself? i was looking for something fast. i just sold my 95 z28. but fliping it sounds good.

You could get a new head off of ebay for 250 tops, but if you decide to go with it offer him $400 and work your way up

Well assuming the head is not warped, and not knowing how many valves are bent, you could probably fix it for around $500. But you will need a machine shop to do valve guides if you need them, unless you have equipment to do them yourself. I know i had to do that to my first 420A and I think i had about $300 give or take in parts and some cost in machining. it shouldn't be to bad though

its worth it....even if there are more problems hes keeping from you .... the engine fix shouldnt be more than $1800

well it would be a good deal just to buy a new head and belt and tensioners......but if your looking for something fast save your money and look for a gst or gsx. because the money you put into fixing the motor you could have found a decent gst/gsx for around the same price

...I don't know if you're into how Eagle Talon's look but they have exact same powertrain.
The turbo version of the Talons are TSi's or TSi AWD. Obviously the Tsi is just FWD, but turbo still.

i would say if your looking to get in the dsm scene then wait but if u want a DD then i would check it out.. i would think that the valves are bent so all you would need is new valves, head gasket, head bolts, timing belt, water pump, valve cover gasket and i think that is it on the 420A but that is not even where your going to put your money at. i bought a car a while back that was sitting for almost as long as this one has and every single bushing and rubber hose and vacuum line was all corroded and rotted out so i had to replace almost the whole suspension and the radiator hoses and more so if it was me and wanting a DD i would wait and if you want to get into the DSM scene as soon as you get the 420A running your going to want to be boosted, and be regretting all the time and money you put in the car when you could of just got a turbo car for that price like a GST or GSX... but hey its just my two cents... good luck man

i think i can pick up a 92 elcipse gsx 135000 miles 5spd, some bolt on mods:::
Boost Gauge
Air Fuel Gauge
Stage 3 ACT Clutch (never used)
Blowoff Valve/waste gate
Manual Boost Controller
Full 3 1/2" Cat Back Exhaust
Alarm System
Aftermarket wiring for stereo
Konig Ziege 16" Racing Rims
Upgraded aftermarket fuel pump
Tinted Windows

it is stuck in gear has new clutch but still stuck in gear starts and runs.. what could that be? would it be spendy or hard to fix??
thanks!!!
