6 bolt rear end? It's either a 3 bolt or a 4 bolt. If it's an upgraded rear end it's probably the 4 bolt. Hopefully an LSD too!

Looks good man! Just get it all cleaned up and take some pictures. How long has it been sitting?

Yeah it was a 3 bolt. He said he installed a few 4 bolt rear ends but they kept on blowing.

Sounds like a total steal especially with all the extras included. Clean it up, give it a nice wash and wax, and do the little bit of work you mentioned and I think you'll have a fun little car to drive there

Yeah I really didn't expect to find this kind of deal. I was ready to drop maybe 25K on a STI or an EVO and then bam I find this sweet deal ROFL

25k vs. 700 is a massive difference.:D You will have fun building the Talon. It will be so much cheaper to work on as well.

Thats what the guy told me word for word. I don't even know what a 3 bolt or 4 bolt rear end is.

The rear axles attach to the rear end by either 3 or 4 bolts. Up to 1992, the 3 bolt rear was used. 1992-on used the 4-bolt setup. The 4-bolt rear is stronger since it's it held on by 4 bolts and has more surface area.

That's not the only reason it's stronger. The axles are thicker also.

Just swapped a 4 bolt LSD into mine... WOOT!!! $100 from junkyard!!

i'm thinking about buying this car, well i'm like 90% sure i'm going to tomorrow :D

i have most of the details about the car but i'm VERY unfamiliar with this turbo and 1g's. I owned a 2g for several years and rebuilt it about a year before i sold it. So i'm sure i can figure out everything on the 1g just will take some reading to see what's different.

I've done research on the turbo but not sure with the rest of the build about how far i can push it.

ANyways the details are:
forged internals
Wiseco Piston/, eagle rods
PTE SC-6152E T3
dsmlink
600cc injectors
3" exhaust
TRE stage 2 tranny
ACT 2600
FMIC i don't know the core size yet
walbro fuel pump 255
I'm pretty sure the head is stock but not 100%. I'll find out tomorrow but i still had no idea what to expect from this. Other than traction loss LOL.

yes i figured about the injectors, but to what size do people run with this turbo? i've seen a few run'n 1000cc which seems a little much LOL

it does have a walbro fuel pump 255 and a front mount. which i'll add to the list, i forgot sorry

i'm not sure on the specs of the front mount yet though but it's a start atleast

On that turbo, depending on your hp goals and if you ever may want to upgrade.. At least 850's..

2 stock 13B turbo

Those are A/T Turbos. 14b came stock on the 5speed 1st gens.

If I were you I would go over the car with a fine tooth comb and with alot of help from your Dsmtuners family and 1gA lovers you will be rocking that car!

With bigger injector it is capable of pushing low to mid 400hp on pump gas and somewhere in the 500 range on race gas pertaining the PTE turbo will hold. They aren't the most reliable turbos for one and make certain you're paying for the things list above. The seller may have a reason for wanted to sell the car.

Actually I have no clue what a 13b is, the A/T cars came with a 13g, but the seller probably meant those instead of 13b.

Great deal, however if it is a true 1g apexi exhaust it is not 3 inch... Still great deal on all the parts. You don't need that tranny btw u should give it to me :D.

i've not decided my goals yet, but was hoping to be able to do around 400 to the ground. But then that's why i was asking here :) i'll be staying on pump gas, 91 is highest we have :(

thank you that was some info i was looking for. I have seen everything for my own eyes except the internals of the block, as the engine's in the car but most everything else isn't. The guy was building it up but now is bored and he's wife is bugging him to get it out, or so he says. Everything looks good though, but i do plan on getting the guy's name who built the engine and calling him to be sure.

As far as turbo's go, i don't mind selling that turbo if there's something better and about the same price range. What are some better turbo's than that? I only stayed with a Big 16g on my 2G dsm so i never did research on the bigger turbos, i guess i have some homework.
