Get you the Gs-t. If you already have a n/t, turbo is the way to go. Much more fun and quick compared to a gs. If you decide to go turbo def. ask the seller for any records just to make sure the car was well maintained. Buying them stock is really the best for you, also LOL another way you can tell if its well maintained alot of the times, is the int. is usually clean, not all rough or just a mess. I like the engine bay being clean too. Good luck.

GST all the way you will honestly be happy with your purchase

lets weigh it out

GST=panties drop when they hear the blow off valve

GS=just an aw.....

^ Panties go right back on as soon as she notices the grease under your fingernails from working on your car haha

GS-T For sure... Worked on both, Owned both - 4G63T Worth every penny more!

He's probably mad because his 'once in a lifetime' deal fell through! It really would have been the 420a owner's win if he actually traded it for the GSX.

i agree im a 420a owner id do it any day to not go through the work and have one ready to do easy mods make big hp instead of BIG mods and make little hp but thats my fault for getting the 420a but its nice to have a challange otherwise keep the gsx!!!:D

So, my Z28 just got rear ended and I'm going to the Navy in June...I wanted to get something fun to drive and not too expensive, since i won't be taking the car with me...I've always liked the 95-99 Eclipse GST's, but never got around to buying one. I've heard their are a lot of problems with these cars, due to poor maintenance of the turbo's and crankwalking.

Well, I'm looking at one right now for $4200 with 113,000 miles. It's a 1995. The guy is older, but not the original owner. A kid may have owned it before. The car has exhaust, k&n, and a turbo timer. The turbo timer makes me feel good, because that's good for it...He has records for prior oil changes and the clutch was changed less than 2 years ago. (He has papers for this) Paint is in perfect shape, body is clean. It needs speakers, or something...Stereo does not sound right. Most likely i would get a head unit and speakers.

Other than that, no complaints. Car runs good, seemed quick, clean interior, good enough tires, 50% tread left.

What do you think? He originally was selling it for 5,000 and i got him to 4200. I'm going to offer 4000. if he accepts, i think i should buy...No, or yes?

I'm just paranoid about the crankwalking issue. Shouldn't it have already happened since the car has so many miles? Should i be worried?

Also, i did hear a ticking noise when the air turned off, but when it turned on the ticking went away...I don't think this would be crankwalking, since it went away and them came back. Keep in mind the car was parked, we were not driving.

Here is the car.

I would say nice buy too... I don't think I've seen a 2g TSI in my area for that low and I bought a 1gb auto for $420

If you already have a 6 bolt ready for a swap, I would say not to worry about the miles on it (but if you don't want to put the effort into the cosmetic items, probably not for you)

Good luck deciding (either everyone is going to say go for it or where is it so they can pick it up)

still two grand for a 2g tsi.I wouldn't pass that up even with 135k.Id buy a full top line rebuild kit for it and rebuild the motor even if i didn't have another motor. That's a good investment if you ask me but that's just my opinion.I could flip that car easy and get what i paid for it back and a little more LOL as long as that bumper got taking off cause that kills the value right there

LOL i dont know if he has the oe bumper LOL butt it is 100% stock i have a 90 eclipse 1g with a good motor but the tsi is in great running order so i dont need to worrie about it yet thats for down the road i have done like 3 motor swaps soooo no prob there but what does it take to swap the motor in is it a dirrect swap or what im gonna get it

o and for who ever is intrested there is theere is like 3 2g awd for like 2000 around here there is a 97 awd eclipse black for 1700 and some others
