It's highly unlikely you'll break into the 12's on a 14B with a fwd. I suggest an exhaust, MBC, boost gauge, K&N, 16G, fuel pump, and an AFC

I agree.. Not too many fwds are even in the 12s with 16g's either..Atleast on street tires/pump gas.. Although it is very possible with the right set up.. You going to be running slicks or race gas? That'll make it easier.

Thats cool i'm glad I no where i'm gonna be now though thanks for the help.. I dont really wanna buy a 16g because I plain on buyin atleast a 20g if not somtehing like an L2 so I dont wanna buy a 16g then couple months and buy another turbo ya no :) I'll have street tires not slicks but bout the race gas when I go to the track yes on street no.. I also have a question that I might get flamed for but i'm pretty new at the DSM stuff so I seen that with some of the Turbo/back exhuasts they have the 02 elimintors now I have an A/F meter and I wanna have it for looks LOL will I still have the 02 to hook it up with this might be a really silly question cause i dont see how the car would really run without an 02... Also I was lookin around and was thinking instead of the dejon intake, and upper IC I seen a special for an AFC, RC550cc injectors, and a 255walbro. would that be a better choice might run me lil past my limit but I can come up with it Keep the info comin I love learnin :thumb:

Yes, you'll still have your O2 sensor. It's vital to your car....The O2 eliminator is an O2 housing eliminator, they just weld a bung into the downpipe for the O2 sensor to go into....I have a 92 fwd tsi btw. Good luck with yours....

I would also suggest a 3" 02 elim turbo back w/SS muffler and 4" tip. Then with the left over money I would get a boost gauge, MBC boost contoller, K&N filter, 3" intake. This would produce good gains in power that you could really notice. You would still have a bunch of money left over to play with.

That is what I am afraid of with our low prices. Some people might think we have low quality products, but that isn't true at all. You can expect the same quality from our products that you would get from Thermal. We just don't have the big name and big overhead so we can offer lower prices.

$200 build your own 3" turbo back exhaust
$98 walbro 255 fuel pump
$20 build your own intake
$20 build your own mannual boost controler
$10 rewire your fuel pump
$50 2g exhaust mani
$275 AFC
$300 front mount intercooler
$100 build your own intercooler piping, connectors
$760 t3/t4 turbo, tial wastegate
$free mod your manifold for turbo and external wastegate
$320 550cc injectors
----------------------
$2152

some mods i would do shortly after:
------------------------------------------
$380 ACT 2600# clutch
$110 egt guage
Pocket loger
some dyno tuning

hey man if you have a custom exaust place nere by you should check them out dont let them swindle you its cheep they buy pipe in bulk and they waranty there welds bolt ups can break then you gotta pay someone to weld them back together go with a high flow cat get headers and a 2.5inch back to start go for the headers stock out of a 95 talon tsi i hear there good

quickersol: LOL thanks for the great list and if I was really buildin just like an all out drag car I would really look into ur list.. The thing is is that I'm tryin to guild an all around great car inside and out. I really wanna electronic boost controller for looks and functions.. and like the engine department I wanna nice pipe and all to make it look nice and clean. I will definitly look into the custom exhuast a guy that i'm talkin to bout the car said I definitly need to get ride of the stock cat wether I get a high flow unit or test pipe. I can get that hacked off for probably 20-30 bucks. He said that starting with the fuel such as I said in my previous post is a great place to start cause then my base is basically set for all the hp I can give her and fuel stuff tend to be expensive. Its gonna be a slow process but yall will definitly see me in the low 12"s to high 11"s thats a promise :thumb:

Woah this is just as crazy as the supra forums where these kids are like hey i got 10 grand what do i do.... after paying for my car, insurance, rent, food, utilities, gas and maintenance products for my car i barely have enough to buy big red. Oh well at least you 1G owners got it good with your left over money. everything i have on my car i either used the money from birthday gifts from parents or sold some "stuff" and i didnt wanna stay in that business so i got a real job. oh well.

Ok, I have a 2gnt but I might be able to give some insight on the information. If it was me, I'd try to find a stock GS-T exhaust and maybe some stock GS-T/X cams for a decent price. Depending on how much of the $400 is left I'd go with a K&N filter and the keep the rest to pay for gas since the prices keep jumping.

cheapest way....make your own intake and exhaust, go to a muffler shop, spend $15, they'll give you mendrel bent pipe in the diamter of your choice, 2.5, 3", whatever, thats pretty much what an intake is, and they'll build you a custom exhaust system with your choice of muffler, which you should be able to get away with for a little over 200, whatever diamter you desire, but seriously, none of thats going to net you the HP you really want, I say surf around for a good deal on a used turbo, say a t-25, you can prolly find one for 200 or less, get the manifold, etc, another hundred, and run about 5 psi on your NT motor, thats where you'll see the most gain, and as long as you keep the psi under 7 or 8 you wont blow up your engine, in fact at 5 psi I dont even think you'd have to change the computer or injectors, 5 psi would probably net you about 30 HP, maybe more...I think with a turbo system like that it might cost a bit more than 400, but not much...

shoot i bought a cold air intake off of ebay for 40 bucks and it looks just like and works like the other intakes.....dropped my et from a 17 to a high 16....but that's here in the freakin 3800 ft above sea level....stock mustang gt's here run upper 15's and even lower 16's....so i'm doing alright...well i would buy the ebay intake, you can get an underdrive pulley off of ebay for 80 bucks...header for 200 (OBX)......i got a magnaflow muffler.......real deep sound to it.....well that's about all i can remember

If that wastegate comes attached to the manifold then I say go for it. That is an awesome setup and shoudl get your quite far. And considering you didnt say what you have or what you want out of a turbo I say do it. I love 20g's and they are proven and cheap.

wrongwheel drive, you want a big turbo. more turbo lag = more traction.

running 12s in a 1/4 will require slicks. on AWD, you want a fast spooling turbo cause you have fast traction. a big turbo like an AGP L2R will have you smoking vettes with proper supporting mods and tuning on a FWD. wrongwheel drive also has a higher top end due to less torque transfer. the lower you want to go in the 1320, the more you need AWD

Bullsh!t...dont listen to this nonsense. For all you vagina's that buy into the hwole buying a biger turbo for lag/traction are a nunch of weak minded ass retards if you ask me. That is a bunch of horsecrap... noone should want more lag "so dey dont spin da tyres"...
If you want to go fast adjus tyour driving technique!

Anyhow that package is well within your budget and youll have money left over after you sell your stock manifold. With the right support and tuning 20g's can and most do, make over 300whp...

I agree with candela 110% why the F U C K you want lag is sucks doods. And why spend like 1300+ for just a turbo like L2R when he can get a complete setup perfect for street and track. 12's would and will be doable.

WhipmastaFlex quote"wrongwheel drive, you want a big turbo. more turbo lag = more traction" shut the F U C K up. why you telling these newbie BS like that. Not cool dood.:shhh:

Right, more lag? NOPE, dude, don't listen to anyone that tells you that more lag will equal more traction. That's bull. Yeah, it will make the car grip easier, but why in the hell would you EVER want lag. Speed comes from how fast you can make boost, not from making boost from 6 to 7 thousand RPM.
