ok i have an extra $300 bucks sitting around that i can use for whatever i want, choose one and we will see. All my bill are paid ahead and i have some other money saved up for other things so this is burning a hole in my pocket

well i already have my go faster fund started... this is more play money...

by the way, my go faster fund is going towards:
Magnus MS intake mani
tubular exh mani from dsmparts.com
couple secret parts that will be around $1200(unfortuantely some of the ppl that reside here cant see this as this spring i am going to lay down the hurt on them with a stock 14b)
MAFT
Piping for my FMIC

I'd keep the $300 incase something happens to your car. You know its a DSM and something could go wrong at any time. Also might wanna keep it because you might need some smaller things to make your new go fast parts work correctly.:talon:

You should definately get up in that Hookah for... tobacco... ... ... cough

And the rest on the go-fast goodies :thumb: Never pass up a good Hookah!

I got about $450 to spend on the Talon, but im undecided as what to buy..(Cars stock by the way)
Here are some of my ideas, what do you think?

Eibach Prokit Springs and KYB Struts
or.....
Apexi N1/Thermal CatBack exhaust
or.....
Injen Intake with filter

Which would my car benefit from the best IYO?

P.S. I have an HKS SSQV BOV on the way

if you can bum a few extra bucks get the rnr turbo back its 475, its a good deal, and i asked a similar question and everyone said get an exhaust, but keep in mind i think they are back ordered like a mofoka, so it will take forever

unless u are a autocrosser/drifter i would definatly get some sort of exhaust

I would lean toward some sort of perfomance as well. A turbo back sounds good. On the other hand a set of Eibach's and KYB's would make the car alot more fun to drive as well, and you wouldn't have to wait out the backorder spln hrd was talking about. You really can't lose. It just depends if you'd rather go a little faster and sound alot better, or look better and handle three times better.

P.S. MBC would be good too.

LOL as much as i find that funny =) i actually HATE pot, even the smell of it. it would be purely for tobacco use only.

Let us know what mods you already have. Perhaps there are other alternatives that suit you better. If you don't already have aftermarket wheels/tires, then try to get a used set for that budget. Acceleration, braking, handling, and looks are all improved. That is the best mod I have done yet, except maybe for my Big28. =)

Cars bone stock as of now.I think I might go in the direction of suspension/tires,because I just got owned by a riced out Cavalier at a stop light last night.Yes a damn Cavalier!!:cry:I know,it hurts.I killed him from a roll before that but then we reached a red light later on,and my car couldn't get no traction so I sat there spinnin. All this in front of his car club buddies, driving a Jetta and a Sebring. So yeah im thinking its time for some tires, suspension, and then ill take it from there with intake, exhaust,MBC,etc.

I see your in Mass too, Where in mass do you live? Also . Id suggest:

1) NGK spark plugs
2) Turbo Intake (ebay..cheap money)
3) Turbo Intake filter (K&N)
4) Dave Brode Upper IC pipe

With those you will definatelly feel the power gain. ALOT.

Turbo intake with filter was my happiest mod... My 60-80mph changed big time.

I'm glad to hear that. Many owners of FWD cars are reluctant to get suspension mods. However, as you have realized, they do make you accelerate faster.

I would suggest Wheels/Tires first, Swaybars next, then Shocks/Springs perhaps. The stock shocks and springs are actually halfway decent. Also, some eBay strut bars couldn't hurt. They don't do all that much for handling, but the little bit they do is worth the $30-40 that eBay bars run. A front LSD is always good too, but I think you have to disassemble some of the tranny to install that.

Motor mount inserts are one more thing you should look into for your suspension. They are about $30 each (Front and Rear). They are supposed to reduce wheelhop on FWD cars and transmit more torque to the wheels. They are also relatively easy to install.

Also, before you start doing those other performance mods, you are going to want to do a mild tuneup of your vehicle. Change your fluids and get better plugs (NGK BPR7ES for increased boost levels) and wires.

Good luck, and happy modding. You are going to love modding this car. Every mod makes a significant difference.

I started with a K&N and 2.5'' cat-back. It was the fundamentals. If you don't get the suspension mods...get the K&N and exhaust. UICP helps too.

Whens the last time you gave your car a tune up? 60K service performed? I'd take care of that stuff first if it hasn't been done yet.
oh, and get a boost guage too!

Allright I have a 95 talon tsi awd , i'm going to have around 5,000 to spend alltogther for parts. I've been researching for a long time and heres my parts list. Tell me wht you think

agp t3/t4 kit (50 trim, .63 a/r)
660 injectors
dsm link
walbro hp fuel pump
fpr
dejon tool race fmic w/ short route piping
gm maft w/ dejon tool piping
tial bov
clutch
eibach prokit springs
koni shocks
ingalls camber kits
apexi n1 cat back and downpipe
defi link, boost and egt
greddy profec b II
97 + talon cov.

i'm hoping to run high to mid 12's on pump gas w/ this and some dyno time. also i can get a 92 eclipse gsx for 300, it's wreak but the motor is good (brand new heads) so i could do a 6 bolt swap down the road. whats do you guys think? any suggestions or comments ? thanks

Sounds about right. That will put you deep into the 12s with good tuning and driving. Got a laptop or PC to run DSMlink on? Maybe go with 720cc injectors if you run a T3/T4 50 trim, so you can get the full potential out of it ( race gas of course ). Maybe brakes? Thats alot of go fast parts, and stopping is important too. :p

Have fun, post some pics! :thumb:
