Hello guys and gals. I am new to this forum and DSMs in general. I just bought a 1993 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo, and i love owning it. But recently thing have gone down hill
and I wanted to hear some bad stuff or things that have gone wrong with your cars ie engine blowing up, tranny problems etc. Just wanted to make sure I am not alone. I bought this car with 255K on the engine and the body was in awsome shape. The guy before me was running it on regular fuel and I am sure he prolly had his foot into all the time as I useally do and many before me. I immediatly put the premium fuel in and did an oil change, new spark plugs, fuel injecter cleaner, spark plug wires, timing belt, and tranny work (typical 5th gear popping out<still not fixed> :thumbdown ). So I figure its a tired engine but I still could put my foot into it "once" and a while and be okay. Well turns out now my engine is wrecked, one of my piston connecting rod bearing is sitting in my oil pan and massive play between the crackshaft and the connecting rod. The crackshaft is wrecked beyond use and the piston smashed my valves for that cylinder and wrecked my camshaft.
But on a good note, this site is awsome and there is a wealth of knowledge here.
