i just put new block in my car, (replacing one block which made 2000 miles and got fcked up ) now i think its happening again but after 200 miles. I can hear the noise after
2000rpms in my engine. I had totally dirty oil after 200 miles. What could be wrong, i dont know what to do anymore. This is 5th time taking engine out and i dont have any money to spend. Is it me , bad luck or what guys , i really need help

thank you yall

What kind of sound? Does it sound like piston slap or rod knock from a spun rod bearing perhaps? Also did you replace just the block or the whole motor? If you used a new block, did you check the condition of the pistons, wrist pins, rings, bearings, bearing caps, and crank? What pistons are you using?(Forged/Cast) What's your piston to cylinder wall clearance? Have you done a compression check? Did you check your torque specs on everything? What do you mean dirty oil? Dirt or metal? Just need a little more info man.

P.S. Might want to move this to the "Cylinder Head and Short Block" forum

sbr built this block, and its just short 7bolt block (94) and 97 head. Sound is like when metal reach another metal when spining. its not knocking sound. And i'm worry why my oil is dirty after 200 miles

Hmm.... Is there metal in the oil or grunge/dirt? Also can you hear exactly where the sound is coming from? Is the sound coming from the top end, bottom end, belts side, flywheel side? Stick your head under the hood and rev the car slightly until you hear the noise again. If you can at least get a good idea where the sound is coming from, you'll have a good starting point. As for the oil, I always run the motor until I've seated the rings pretty good and then change the oil. My motors always had a little bit of metal in the oil on the first oil change. Same with my transmissions too. Let me know what you find out and I'll try and help you the best I can. Maybe someone else can chime in too.

i cant find out where is coming from, you can hear it all over, and most likely i think is from belts side

If you know for a fact that the noise is coming from the belt side. Then I would checkout your Harmonic balancer. If it looks all right then move to your timing belt tensioner pulleys. It could just be a pulley rubbing up against something or the bearing inside could be seized. The noise could be coming from the water pump as well. As for your oil pump. If you have good oil pressure, I would think it's ok. Then again I could be wrong. Your best bet is to pull the timing belt cover and take a look at everything. Also, check your timing belt and make sure it isn't getting rubbed by anything. I hope that at least gets you pointed in the right direction. ;) Let me know what you find. Good luck. :thumb:
