screeching noise from engine

Lately, I've noticed a screeching/squealing noise coming from my engine. It sounds like a loose belt or something, but I couldn't exactly pin point where it is. It usually happens when I first start my car. The weird thing is..as soon as I push the clutch in a little bit the noise disappears. Any ideas?

Tighten all your belts and see if the noise stops.

Your harmonic balancer is toasted.

I'm guessing thow-out bearing. Mine does the same thing. I just haven't replaced it yet. Really need to. Listen over by the transmission... you may notice the clutch fork is a little loose too.

If it happens only when you start your car it could be the starter also.

99% sure it is the power steering belt, it has to be very tight.
