I recently got around to doing my tbelt and noticed that it had a very slight wobble in one spot when running, I've seen a buddies DSM do it but I'm a little more anal about little stuff. I decided to tear it apart and found that the tensioner arm has .010" (if i had to guess) of preceptable able play, to my question is the arms inner sleve the wear point? I'm looking to replace the arm but am curious if there is ever a situation where the mounts pivot is the worn part? I would measure the i.d. of the arm but I have nothing to compare it to so that wouldnt help...anyways thanks for the input!

I'm not sure what the tolerance is on that pivot. I'm a little anal myself. For peace of mind I would replace it. I also pull the arm off and lubricate the pivott during each belt change.

More than likely the wobble you see has to do with the fact that the belt is not perfectly straight. All the tensioner arms I have ever seen have some play when not under tension. Personally l wouldn't was my money on a new one.

With me, if there is any doubt in any of the timing components I would replace them. That piece of mind is worth a few extra dollars.
