I will be purchasing a set of coilovers this coming spring and I am not sure which is the better choice. Tein Super Street (with Pillow Ball Mounts) or JIC FLT-A1. I've heard good things about both companies and both coilovers are priced basically the same.

My car is used as a street car that see's 1/4 mile track time.

Thanks for your opinions.

I don't think you'll get a ton of responses to this query as both of these coilovers are more than what most DSM'ers are going to pay for suspension upgrades. I can't speak at all about the JIC's because I have no experience with them whatsoever. I went from a bone stock 1G suspension set-up which was still in good shape to the Tein SS w/Pillowball mounts. I have been very pleased so far. The level of adjustability is very good - you can go from daily driver cushy to stupid stiff with the push of a button if you have the EDFC. The car is basically used for "weekend fun". The ride can be kind of rough on our lousy Michigan roads, but handling is improved & the car has a much more aggressive stance. :thumb:

I doubt you could go wrong with either kit as they're both good quality from reputable companies. Depending on your use, things like adjustability, availability of parts & support in your area, & what parts are re-buildable may be what you want to consider to make a decision between the 2. :rocks:

Good luck!

Moreso you won't get many opinions because people who care enough about handling to invest that much money usually go with a setup that doesn't have subpar dampers.

Thanks for you thoughts Gromit. I am kind of leaning towards the Super Street Coilovers, but if anyone has specifics on why the JIC's would be a better choice that would be great.

I might not have said it so bluntly, but I still agree.
