Hey guys...

Ive been doing some research on the Tein Basic coilovers for a little while, and it says on different sites that they are spring and shocks only, but others say different. Even pictures with struts are shown and sometimes they arent. Im confused ...Im use to coilovers being a complete replacement of everything.

Thanks for the help,
Brian

Forgive me if I under-estimate your knowledge, but you know that struts are shocks which are also the upper control arm, right? And you also know your car has shocks and not struts, right?

From what I've seen, Tein Basics for 2Gs include the spring and the shock, so it is a coilover. Costs about $700.

Hey if you get those let me know how they are. I've been considering that setup, because I want something that rides great and can lower the car a bit, but don't have to deal with the adjustments etc.

I have Tein Basics, i love them, really stiff, had them for about 6 months now and they are almost as stiff as when they were new out of box. I drive up in the local hills with winding roads and hairpin turns, they have never let me down

also check out the megan coil overs. I put them in my buddies WRX and my friend has them in his Evo and they are nice. They also have adjustable camber and pillowball mounts for a good price.

I have the SS and love them as well. I am putting the Megan in my AWD though... I can't justify not doing it because of the price.

Not gonna get adjustable camber on a 2G from the coilover..
