Tdo5h 20g help

Other than boost creep does anybody know any other problems that can occur from using a 6cm2 housing on a tdo5h 20g turbo. Higher egt or anything catastrophic. I'm not concerned about power issues just reliability problems

It shouldn't damage anything but its going to suck in the top end.

from everything that I have read using a tdo5 will give you faster spool, less top end.
The 20g will creep at low boost levels and holds steady at upper boost levels. It also does not start to reach effiecncy range until you go over 15 lbs boost.

I have and am planning on running a td05 20g myself. Not installed yet because it need to be rebuilt first.

Do some searches, not a lot of info here but enough to make you dangerous....

That's the part I can't figure out. I ran it at 20 psi on a stock 6bolt I was about to rebuild and it never creeped. It was a little weak on top but it never did anything crazy. No surge or anything. It spooled similar to a 16g but really kicked up top. I just wasn't sure if it was doing any damage that I couldn't see

I wouldnt worry, you should just make sure the car is tuned well thats the most important thing.


As long as everything is running fine you will just have less topend


And do some porting on it
