I recently bought a tdo4h greddy turbo set up off a guy that has a little shaft play. How good is a tdo4h for a 420A and is it worth rebuilding it?Paid $100 with the down pipe.I told him to keep the EM,it came off a honda.

You got ripped off. Sell it to some other honda guy for more on a honda forum.

you think? Ive read that these turbos came on 1G eclipse and talons.

Yes, but they don't work on a car with dodge neon motor in it like you have. Do some research about your OWN car. Plus a 13g (if it came off a 1g) that needs rebuilt is hardly worth $100 and your downpipe meant for a honda setup isn't going to do you any good on a 2g N/T

actualy I sent it to a local rebuild shop by me,and the kit that he had wouldn't work because its a TDO4-16t with the superback compressor wheel. He only had the flatback kits.thats why I'm having a hard time finding a rebuid kit.I probaly should of mentioned that right of the bat.and you can make that DP work on any car,I know I can(if you have a welder)

Well the 16t never came on a DSM and since the 420a never came with any turbo you will need to rig up a custom manifold to make it work.

Good info! the # on the housing actualy maches up to theTDO4H-15g.its really not in to bad of shape.(slight play).but I would still rebuild before puttin on a used turbo.so if I made a T/4 adapter plate this turbo wouldn't be worth puttin on a 420A.Iguess I could allways go out and spend around $800 on a decent turbo but I'd like to use what I got.$100 used turbo,$130 rebuild kit Found at G-pop shop.Total $230 or I can buy a Ebay special for the same price(just like I runnin now)So can anyone tell me if It will work OK on a 420A.I looked at the flow charts but I'm lost when it comes to all them numbers.

I really like the way this turbo is set up with the WG and basicly the whole set up!Has anybody ever used a turbo like this on a 420A?The bolt pattern is a little differant were it mounts to my EM(no problem, can make a adapter plate). The quality of the Greddy casting is much better then the Ebay t3/t4 turbo that I have installed now!I,d really like to use this turbo but I dont have much info about it (performance wise). Its really in pretty decent shape.Has the same amount of shaft play as my 1 month old ebay turbo. But I still want to rebuild it.

I dont see why the turbo wouldnt work on a 420a. A turbo is a turbo, Yeah some are bigger, and the flow rates all differ, but if you have the manifold and you bolt this thing up its not like its not going to work. It might suck but it not going to just be a Christmas decoration on your motor. Correct me if im wrong.

All depends on how you do your setup and what expectations you are going for. If you don't want it I'm sure you could sell it for a bit more than what you just put in. Post it on craigslist or something and being freshly rebuilt would be better.

Your local rebuild shop must not be too competent. I have the parts to fix this turbo if you want to send it my way, or if you're attempting to rebuild it yourself:

Mitsubishi Turbo TD04 TE04H TD04-H Turbocharger Rebuild Kit

^ ^ has both compressor seal collars.

Yeh, the shop I deal with sucks when it comes to turbo stuff.I gave them my turbo in october and I just got it back like three weeks ago. They said they couldn't find a rebuild kit for it.They said none of the #s mached up correctly.I'll check your site out.Thanx for the info!!!
