I’m sorry if this is a noob question but Is this a stock turbo? TD05H? I tried looking where this is from but I’m getting confused with 20G and 16G.

Does this come from factory or is this a knock off? Comes from another dsm? Or evo?

Oh okay I’ll get better pics later, 14b or 16g better? Or are they both good.
It depends what you want it to do. The 16G is essentially the gold standard for DSMs as a flexible, do-it-all turbo but most people would get by just fine on a stock 14B if they're not serious about modifying.

Yep, 14b. If it doesn't have in/out play and minimal side, it's still tight and in good working condition.
If you can pull the compressor wheel outward and push it in after, it's tired and should undergo a rebuild depending on how bad it moves.

Note: for a bit more top end, you can swap a 7cm exhaust housing in place of the standard 6cm. The gain up top is greater than the loss down low, if I recall correctly.
The 14b is a fun turbo.

I’ll check when I have time with the car again, thank you for letting me know . I was doing some research seems like 14b outperforms the T25. I thought I had a 6 bolt for a second bc of the turbo but after inspection i actually have a 7 bolt.

I should clarify, even a fresh one will have a tiny bit of in/out, especially noticeable if you alternate pushing/pulling a few times. Even a brand new one will have a bit of in/out if you push and pull on either wheel 4-6 times, there needs to be some clearance on the thrust for oilin'
What I'm talking about is more immediate and noticeable. I mean, you'll probably understand once you grab that compressor wheel nut and try to move it around.
