Hey guys just a quick question thought I would ask. Found out my tcu is bad (not shifting) it is confirmed with leaky caps and one of the orange power caps is completely burnt black. I have a 1G fwd turbo can I swap it with a N/A or do I have to find a turbo TCU? I know that the trannys are different but not sure on the TCU. I have tried to check everywhere and Mitsubishi is closed today. Anyway thanks guys for the look.

It will not work correctly, if at all. I tried it once and it only worked for about 5 minutes before going back into limp mode.

Ok sweet thank you. I wonder how much rpm difference a N/A shift would be higher or lower guess ill have to try it out...LOL

you can do the kiggly blue wire mod for free and just shift the car manually on the shifter and eliminate the tcu or if u have a little cash look in to a shift box. both eliminate the tcu and make the tranny shift at full line pressure for much firmer faster shifts. also both give complete manual control over the tranny. i have a road surge shift box and LOVE it. plus the look on the honda kids face when you tell them you have a 4 speed clutchless manual transmission is priceless.

i am having trouble finding a good link about blue wire mod. but i would seriously look into a shift box they are way easier to do then the blue wire mod. most company will have some safety features built in. my road surge box has a down shift protection so u cant down shift above 4k in order to save your tranny. also it has an auto shift feature so when your racing it will shift its self at what ever rpm you set it too. i have a 5 speed ecu so i set my shift point to 7k in stead of 6k on a stock auto trans. if you really want to go the free route just search up on the kiggly mod. i went to RoadSurge.com for my shift box.

Here is the shiftbox I've got, they also have several different ones to choose from if you don't want to spend as much money

My friend used this box all season last year and I just installed mine not too long ago.

Also this does the "kiggly mod" just from installing the shift box

Ok thanks guys, So I just bought the 70 dollar one and a steering wheel that has the buttons build it thought it would be kinda fun. How hard are these to install anyway is it pretty self explanatory with the instructions they send ya?

Ok guys I got the shift box and it looks pretty complicated to hook up it askes for the Tacho wire which one is that on a 91 and what color are the solenoid wires? Sorry dont need to sound like a newbie but when it comes to wiring im as new as it gets.

this is the one i got http://www.forcedfour.com/shiftboxlite.htm I have the buttons already in the steering wheel.
