So the back story is, I needed to replaced the BISS cause it was one of the leaks on my BLT. But the previous owner has rounded out the screw and I couldnt get it out to replace seal. So, I decided to remove the throttlebody to drill out BISS and replace the seals on the throttle body. I marked all the sensors and replaced all the shaft seals. It still had the metal seal but no rubber seal. I order new shaft seals from MachV and grease it up with white lithium grease. The shaft seals from MachV were plastic seals and had no O-ring. I went out to Ace and bought #7 O-rings. Put everything back together and now the Flapper will not close all the way with spring tension. I marked the spring with a white line to make sure it was back to orginal postion when putting everything back together.

Is there a different kind of grease I should use? The grease I have now is the cheap stuff from Autozone.

Did i not need the use of #7 O-rings with the plastic rings?

P.S. I did use a multimeter to position the sensors

Check the tension on the accelerator cable. Loosen the two 10mm bolts that hold the cable to the intake manifold, and see if the butterfly closes.

I messed with throttle cable but no help.

Doing my searches, people have adjusted the throttle plate so I think i will remove the throttle body and try that.

Did I use to many seals? does the Plastic ones require no O-ring?

this is probably why its sticking.

I really need to buy a manual or find somewhere to download one. Yes... I am cheap.

If the throttle plate isnt closing, then maybe the plate isnt centered. Thats what heppened to me. Try removing the two screws or bolts in the center of the plate and shut it. You could just loosen them. And then keep adjusting it untill its centered. This is what my problem was, maybe you can try contacting snowborder714. He helped me alot with mine. Hes a great guy.

Thanks for all the advise. I loosen up the screws and open it a bit and let the spring close it. It's opening and closing like a champ now.
