talon tried to kill its self

okay so the other day my talon tried to kill its self i start it and its idling normal (really odd) well i think i hear a noise so i pop the hood and give it a little throttle it jumps up to 3k rpms im like wtf its odd but not out of the norm for this car. so i get in the car do nothing and the rpms just start climbing and climbing up to about 5k before i shut it off. wth is wrong with my car!? not sure if its related to the problems it was having before but here they are http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/366948-95-talon-esi-problems.html

um, your throttle cable is loose/to tight? your fuel injectors are bad? or fuel pump?

throttle cable, or its probably a ghost, some times i thinkg my 2g is haunted.

throttle position sensor, maybe? seemed fine till you bumped it.

nope throttle cable is fine and its getting fuel fine

thats my best guess im going to replace it and see if it fixes it
