Talon Interior Vs. Eclipse Interior? Diffences?

Been looking at carbon fiber peices for my Talon because I do not want to strip any of it out but would like to lighten things up a bit. I see tons of CF stuff for Eclipse but hardly nothing for talon. Mine is a 97! What all is interchangable between the 95-99 Eclipse and Talon if anything? Thanks for any help.

The two cars are identical on the inside, with exception to the airbag cover on the steering wheel. I think that's different, anyway.

The only other difference is the fabric seats have different patterns. Which change every year as well. Also in the 98 talons the color combinations are a bit different. But as stated every thing is interchangeable.

Get used to this owning a talon...when I go to the auto parts store, I just ask for eclipse parts (not that they don't have talon listings) it just makes it easier...

Man i went to autozone the other day near where i used to live with my dad. FIrst they ask make model than year. THey never asked the motor nothing. I said its the rea diff axle seal's. THe guy looked at me and said they dont have awd talon's. I laughed and explained it to him thinking he just made a honest mistake not knowing dsm's. He looked the part up and said they dont have is in stock. So I say ok try a 95-99 eclipse gsx. He said "THere not the same car i cant look it up sir" I was thinking wow this guy is a complete idiot. He kept trying to tell me 2ga and 2gb eclipse were two totally different cars engine and drive train wise than he said it wasnt even the same style car as my talon. I than went paid for my air freshners and left.

i would have told that guy he needs to look up my part and give it to me and quit being ignorant. some people think they know everything. esp. when dealing with younger people (me).

I work at AutoZone and it bugs the crap out of me when I hear people I work with make a statement they obviously have no clue about. I can say around here or at least in my store they are few and far in between but still annoys the crap out of me.

Be careful though, half of the parts for the Turbo 2gs come up as the 420a part at Autozone. I found out the hard way after getting an 8 bolt flexplate for my 7 bolt engine. Also, some of the body stuff comes up at the Ecipse part as well (ended up with 2gb headlights for my 95 Talon... in other words, they didn't fit.

And for the interior the only difference IS the steering wheel cover. Sadly, our interiors are interchangeable with Avengers too.

+1 on the ingnorant Autozone guys. I once asked specifically for an oil filter for a eclipse GST . Guy gave me one for an N/A. After he assured me it was for the turbo model. Needless to say I had to exchange it for the correct one.

I have to deal with this crap every time I go in a Autoparts store. I have owned a handful of saturns 1 Talon AWD and now I got an Eclipse GST.

I need xx part for a 96 saturn.
"What kind sir"
Doesnt matter the part is the same on every saturn in 96
"I need to know what kind of saturn you have sir"
I have a 96 SC2 and a 96 SC1 pick one

And with the Talon it was allways we dont have it in stock be 3-5 days So I tell them to look up and eclipse part. They have those in stock.
