Taking the GSX out of storage.

Well my GSX has been stored outside on railroads ties,and couple tarps ect, and tomarrow i will be putting it in my driveway ready to put on the road in a few weeks if it doesnt snow. But is there anything i should do.Its been stored for 3 months battery was out and had fuel stablizer in it.Just wondering if there is anything i should do,i hope it starts

When i take mine out i do a oil change before i even start it. Put some fresh gas in, give it a bath.

Yea I'd change the oil, check the coolant, and let it warm all the way up before you drive it. That way you can check for any leaks as it begins to warm up.

You also might want to pull the coils and just crank it over a few times to lubricate everything with oil before the first start.

How much gas was in the tank when it was stored?

I filled it up all the way with stablizer.

Yeah change the oil. Also like "blackGSX2g" said start it up and let it run for a bit till its warm and check all the coolant levels, and let the fluids circulate through the lines before you drive it, and probably be a good idea to use all the stabilizer soon as possible and put some nice new gas in her. I hope it doesn't snow either, here's to wishing .

Can i wait like a week to change the oil. Its only got like 1k on it. I was going to do it this weekend, autozone is 45 min from me, and carquest is like double the price but if i have to i will.

I would figure it wouldn't be too big of a deal for you to drive it for a week, damn a 45 min drive away just for an autozone thats crazy, Ive got like 3 of them kind of stores within 3 min of my house. Its not a mandetory thing to change the oil, just a good recomendation.

Id say the most important thing is to let the car warm up to operating temp. Then put some dank gas in it and let it cough the winter right outta of her.

Well i wont be driving it i am just taking it out of the yard putting the wheels on and putting it in my driveway,so i guess the oil can wait till the weekend.

Just got mine on the road today, first time with new suspension so i decided to take a trip to my buddys show and use his alingment set up. Got factory spec toe and 1.5 degrees of camber up front and were doing the rear on thurs, its out 1/8 on an inch. Feels good to drive again. Anyways yea I would crank it over acouple times before starting it right up then let it sit till its all warmed up. Thats what I did and everythings fine.
