tail lights dont work but brake light and turning signals do

The tail lights dont work but the brake lights do and so do the turning signals. Checked the fuse box, everything looks fine. also the dash lights kept going n and off then finally jsut do not come on. what to do? ### help

Did you check all fuses? Engine bay fuses. I am trying to remember what fuse does this but it is a fuse and i think it's under your hood.

is there any after market things put in? like new dash lights? i know on my old GS the previous owner did a mickey mouse job wiring the dash lights up and some hyper relays and he wired it all under the dash and i accedently kicked the wire one day when i was driving and my tail lights went out but my brakes and blinkers still worked, so i would check under your dash by your pedals for some loose wires.

Its a 10a red fuse on the passenger side of the engine bay.
this fuse runs everything from your cig lighter/dash lights/running lights ect.
I am an auto tech and I still haven't had the time to find wtf is wrong with my car, its a horrible issue to deal with on this car.

i say theres a short on your ground wiring that leads to that light.

hmm i checked the fuses and they looked fine. i am gonna check the ground wire and the fuses again. Thanks for help.

Yeah thats it! i just couldn't remember where it was. It kept doing it on mind before i had a wire that was frayed for the running lights on the bumper causeing it to short out. Just look all over your car you will eventually find it.
