I have a 91 Eagle Talon N/T 5 speed. When I am accelerating in the 4k and above range my engine sounds like it's cranking more around the 7k range. It's a 2.0 Non-Turbo I have asked local shops to answer this with no help from any of them. Also while cruising down the Interstate around 70 my tach reads about 3500 to 3900 rpm. To me this seems a bit high. :talon:

So if I hook up a aftermarket tach will that fix the problem? Or are there more parts that need to be replaced to fix the problem? :talon:

Thanx for the help I'll give it a try this weekend. :talon:

Things for sale should be posted in the classifieds section, or you can p/m the other guy about it. This site has a real good classifieds section for future reference.

I put the new tach in and my car is still acting the same way. I forgot to tell you in the beginning that I actually had previously switched the motor in my car. The motor I put in came out of an automatic, but my car is a 5 speed. I was wondering if there is a sensor or something that isn't the same from auto to manual.
