T25 Heat Shield replacement.

This is a question about a stock T25 turbo on a 1998 GST. 255,000 miles

During the tear down process with the turbo I found that the heat shield on the exhaust side has been destroyed. The image of the heat shield is under my profile.

Can the turbo be put back together without this heat shield?

The T25 will be replaced within 3 months.

I don't see why not. I don't have mine on. If you need one I have an extra. But you should be fine to run it without it.

Yes the turbo can be put back on without the heatshield but your alternator now won't last very long.
