just to update you speedy, i have pretty much the same mods as you and i ran a 14.80@98mph last week at 15psi. also it was about 96 degress and the humidity was horrible, damn louisiana weather.

sounds like my car is weak compared to yours.
I wouldn't call your car being weak. I can run about 17 to 18 psi on mine for some reason or another, and my egt's are staying around 820 to 850 at the top of third. I for the first time last week picked up some sunoco 116 race gas, I was very impressed to say the least. If you can try and pick up some, and lean your afc out just a wee bit, it might help some, also check for boost leaks, re-tighten all of your clamps on your ic piping and such, I mean really comb over everything, several times if you have to. I'm at 2210ft above sea level. If your at sea level then you should be definately running better traps, I would think. I've heard over and over from larryd that the Big28 really picks up with 550's and a fmic. I will be purchaseing my 550's in a couple more weeks, and my fmic will have to wait till around XMAS when I get my bonus check from my job. O'well patience is a virtue I guess. Good luck!!

Your definetly gonna like this turbo.....and as many have said/done on this site...this turbo will hook you into the upgrading constantly addiction. I personally love the Big T28. I have had it on my car for about 3 months, stock SMIC, stock injectors....16-17psi. And WOW. What a turbo. It really pulls usable boost all the way to 7400 rpm. I notice after a couple of back to back runs my IC is damn warm, but all in due time. I am "still" saving for the fuel mods (pump, injectors, afc) or I would turn up the boost more. I can't wait to feel 20 psi.

Hell with this turbo just last weekend I ran a:

r/t-.505
60ft-1.8x
1/4-13.21 @102

and alot of my car is stock.

Just bolt ons. and only about $1500 in mods. stock street tires. ohh and I am AWD obviously.

But your really gonna like it. spools quick. ohhhh real easy install too. took me 3 hours and i was taking my time. Go ahead and go to your local dealership and order (1) manifold bolt and (1) o2 sensor housing bolt. like $7 and $3. I broke a 02 sensor bolt, ( but I had already anticipated this and had one) and just use the new manifold bolt for the stud thats on your stock T25. Take care and let everyone know how it all goes.

I agree 100%! Nice times GSXTACY! The Big28 really does rock, even though I'm not awd. I'm almost positive though, without injectors and fmic, I think a 105 or 106 trap is possible for me as is. I know my ET would suck though, even with my drag radials. I can hook up pretty damn good in 1st gear at about 15 mph, from a roll on.

Is.....I have barely begun to tune. I mean this turbo is NOT-ported or clipped. My exhuast mani is NOT ported....I have a 1G intake and TB but its NOT installed...hell my 02 isn't even ported the way I think it should be, I think I did a crappy job, and will be interested in a better one after my fuel mods. My engine has over 100K miles on it too. I really liked the fact that I got a Brand New Turbo and not a refurbished T25 with a T28 wheel, AND I didn't need a install kit., Plus Loren and Robert at FP are really helpful in any questions I had about anything. My Big T28 was definetly worth the $900 I paid.

I say if a person is looking for a turbo that is "capable" of mid 12's this is the last stop. Hell I know there are people who have run high 12's on the stock T25 but, this turbo has has potential for 11's are deminstrated by Lorens' car. All around awesome turbo. Best of luck.

Well I can care less for the track, but I am satified with the big28 anymore bigger with a FWD just won't work and just won't spool fast enough also. With my large FMIC it still spools up fully by 3200rpms and holds rock solid til 7500rpms.

setting your goals awful high man, I ran 106mph on 93 Octane at 20lbs of boost with 550s and a FMIC..

I think you and me both should be able to squeeze some 13s because we should be trapping at around 102-103mph. so with a low enough 60ft that should be about a 13.70 or so.

hell in my mustang i would run 13.60s all day long with 2.0x 60fts at only 101mph.

with FWD its about traction.. if you can do the traction then 13s are possible.. mid 13s are possible.. i think with the setup i had on the car if I had traction i woulda ran low 13s but unfortunately i had 0 traction

I haven't really seen many cars run much better on the BIG28 compared to the FPT28/28.. But it's still a preaty nice turbo. I've ran a 12.7 @ 105 on the the FPT28/28 on a 6cm housing unported with the stock spacer ring. I think more top end is posible with a port job. I'm also an automatic so a 5spd should trap about 2mph higher. On pump gas I've ran a 13.5 @ 99.7. I have issues getting a strong launch on the auto with pump gas. I also didn't get big numbers on it till I got bigger injectors and a AFC.. That's a big must if you want to get good power out of it. Also my Supra SMIC really helped my T28 out a lot. Before it all I could run was low 13s @ 103, and my timmnig sucked at around 17 degrees at it's best. Now I can run 21 degrees easily.

Well... my car is kinda gutted a little. No right front passenger seat, no back seat or back rests, and no spare tire, jack, and tire tool. Plus I'm on 16's with drag radials. I also don't have any kind of heavy aftermarket stereo equipment in my car, just the stock system. My car weighs in now at around 2810lbs without me in it. But yeah... I guess my goals are kinda set high, who really knows. Injectors will be here shortly though, I'm sure they will help out alot, if they help as much as the sunoco 116 helped then I will be one happy camper.

Well, I just switched from the 28 to the Green and all I have to say is WOW. I would disagree about the 28 being as much as you would want in a FWD. On the contrary, Im not spinning tires as much as before because I don't start spooling till around 3K and by 4K its go time :) I would have liked to see what my car would have done with cam's and some race gas, but oh well. I'm running 14lbs on the green with exact same setup for now besides the external dump and wg ..man i Love that sound. Anyhow, the Big28 is definately a great turbo and you won't be dissapointed
