I posted this over on talk, but not seeming to get many answers as of yet.

  Well, I'm really pissed off right now. My DSM has put a whole in my pocket like no ####ing other. Replacing and flushing the radiator I realized there was a crack in the top of the radiator nipple. Screwing the hose onto the radiator with the clamp busted it off. OMFG STUPID 10 YR OLD FU#&*N PLASTIC POS MOTHER#*#%* (*#*(@ )%)*(#%. /venting :beatentodeath:

Question is, I ordered a Koyo 58mm radiator, and wanted to know what cooling improvements I should expect over stock. I know temps should be lower, obviously. I believe I have a 180* t-stat in there; I honestly don't remember. I will be using stock fans, and I have the stock turbo set up, for now. I just figured well, when it breaks, time to upgrade. I called my local Satan dealer and they said 389.99 for the radiator. I told them where to stick it. I ordered a radiator from Show Stoppers in CA for $349.99 shipped. Any other kind of mods that I will need to look at doing to get this installed? They said it will fit so long as I'm running the stock turbo set up. Any 16g set ups will require slim fans. Any feeback is appreciated. TIA

What sensor are you referring to?

Whatever sensor, I wouldn't leave ANYTHING unplugged. You may wind up overheating because your fans may not come on.

The rumor may be true, you should see what he says on Talk. :p

Hmm................LLLLLLLIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNKKKKKKKKKKKK PLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ TTTTTTTTTTTIIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA :chair:

My fan stays on all the time. There is a sensor on the bottom of the stock radiator to tell the fans to kick on at certain temps. I got the fluidyne on there and I'm afraid to put fluid in the car and start it up. I don't want to overheat anymroe!

I have a KOYO rad in my car (Free from my friends wrecked car) and I dont really see any difference when driving around town or on the freeway at most 2-5 degrees thats it. I also live some where where 70 is blazing hot. So im might make a difference in warm climates but not where I live.

For me i just wasn't going to pay 200 bucks for Advance radiator or whatever price for another stock one when the nicer radiator was only a bit more. I like the way it looks and I hope my overheating problems are gone now.

Yeah My stock Raidator was Cloged like a MOFO and banged up really good to and he just happen to wreck his car and I to the Raidator and slim fans that he had in there.

A good set of fans should help out with the over heating too and make sure that your Thermostat is working right too.

Already replaced thermo. My ac condensor was blocking more air than anything that thing looks like the corner melted and wasn't letting any air through. I thought my radiator hose just popped off, but it turns out that the stock outlet broke partway off and left me covered in 270deg coolant/water. I just started looking when i turned the car off for a leak and bam there i was left to clean coolant out of my eyes. Here's a sneak peek at my new rad.

Anyone have the "REAL" link to the dexcool information that the other member was talking about? Anyone have any personal experience with it?

Which member?

Just looking for the Dex-cool information as to whether it's good to use in the DSM or not. I've searched a lot of times, but can't seem to pull up anything.

Why are you so hung up on using Dex-cool? I did a quick google search, first page was filled with problems on Dex-cool and GM vehicles.

If you run too cool you'll get poor gas milage and poor power.. you don't want that..

Don't use dexcool either.. stick with good old (like oldman) green coolant.. Dexcool likes to eat plastics and gaskets, plus it doesn't protect against cavitation (little bubbles created by the impellar that implode with enough force to eat away at unprotected aluminum) in your water pump near as well as green coolant.. if you search you'll find a thread with someone else asking about dexcool where I went into some more detail and posted some links if you wanna find out more..

This guy.

The reason why I was referring to Dex-cool was because I've heard that it's good to run it. I was looking for members who have had experience with it or recommended it. Which I posted above. :)
