i have a 1g, 92 laser FWD...Can i just take out the FWD and swapp it with AWD.
Also if i can where could i might get the whole AWD.
and what modifications will i need to do.
also with a budget.

That really isnt a "budget" task. You'd have to find the transmission, transfercase, driveshaft, differential, axels.(Im sure im forgetting tons of sh!t) you're much better off finding a AWD with a crap motor but solid tranny and swapping motors.
You dont need AWD unless you plan on hp- like over 350-400 range where you actually need traction to go.

It can be done.
find a rotted awd car for next to nothing.
jack both cars up and compare them.
start swapping.
Get ready for some modifications!

It can be done but for the cost it is not worth it you could buy a dsm with awd for a lot less. Mavisky has converted his talon form a n/t to a turbo you may want to email him.

No. The drivetrains on 1G turbo cars are not interchangable due to chassis changes made between different models. 2G turbo cars, however, are completely interchangable.

RRE did the swap on a 1G car once and IIRC, it took alot of major modification to make it work. They spent more time and money than it was worth.

Yes there are alot of major differences in the unibody and the crossmember setup. Alot of time, money and welding.

ok. cool. does anyone know where i could find an awd eclips/laser/talon for cheap like broken down but useable with an engine swap. and arond 300-400 is what i want. for street and strip. and who is mavisky? and real close to where i live atleast...i mean i like to drive but if its dramaticly far, i dont. LOL.
