Ok so i did a JDM swap into my 90 laser (FWD) and i didnt think it was gonna be all that big of a deal, but rebuilding the tranny took longer than expected, and i had to get a new clutch anf flywheel, and i got new motor mounts, and i was like hey since i got the motor out why not get into some porting, so i (well not me but friends in class)(by the way i goto WyoTech, #1 automotive school in the country) so anyway i had the throttle body, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, exhaust side of turbo, and O2 housing ported. but basically i wasted a lot of time on porting and waiting for parts and fabing up a couple other things and the car left the shop unfinished, but i wanna knwo has anyone done a swap into a 90' and had a lot of problems? cause i ended up getting a 92 tranny and i had clearence problems wit the cradle, and then the cross member, and now my shift linkage is all messed up, i dont had the shift linkage braket off the 92 and the one off my 90 doesnt fit, so i dunno if the braket it different, if its the tranny, if its the shift linkage, or the shifter or a combination of a couple, if u know anything at all that might be helpful please post.
thank u
