Suspension (?) Rattling-can't find the source

98 GST Spyder. I have a rattling noise from the front end on the passenger side. Noise comes when driving on surface that would cause small vibrations (like dirt road, gravel, cobble stones). DOES NOT RATTLE WHEN GOING OVER POT HOLES. The noise is coming from high around where the shock mount is. However, it resonates through the rest of the front end, and even feel it in the pedals when driving and the vibrations accur. I changed outer tie rod end, new shock with new shock mount. Wheel bearings, nuts and bushing are fine everywhere thay have been thoroughly inspected.....what the hell is that noise? Anyone else had that?
My next suggesions are:
1. motor mount
2. steering rack
are those even feasable?

I have a similar problem, after taking apart my suspension I found that my upper control arm mount weld is broken but still in place. The weld is on the lower part of the sleeve that goes up to the strut tower mounts. It causes lots of rattles and noises. I'm goin to try to get it rewelded and hope it will stay within its alignment range. Just an idea of something to look at.

I'm having the exact same problem I'm going to post a YouTube video tonight showing the problem with them, I had replaced alot of the system on that side and found at the top by the strut assembly where the upper control arm attached to the frame, the hole is so rusted that it is still in place but it rattles and rubs because it's rusted out where the thing doesn't stay. I'm gonna try to remedy it tomorrow with some welds and some spare medal I'll see how it goes
