I would post in suspension area but these are noob questions, and i can't post for some reason.

I want a suspension i can tune softer for long drives/ everyday driving. I also want to be able to tune it stiffer obviously for more aggressive driving and occasional trips to the track.

I am also on a budget of under 1000 for springs and struts/shox or coilovers

1. Which would be better I assume coilovers would be because of the adjustability
2. What would you suggest?

Also i am thinking about redoing all of the bushings

1. Are replacing the bushings worth it? About how long did it take to do the whole suspension?

Even though I have a n/t I replaced all the bushing with poylurethane one, retained by stock springs, used kyb struts and added on front and rear strut bars. I know my struts are not adjustible buy kyb and koni(i think) makes ones that you can mess with. I like my set up because it rides smooth, soakes up all the bumps but with little body roll in the turns.

after you installed the bushings how did the car's handling improve?

Many popular shock choices are the KYB AGX's Koni Yellows .

I know the agx and yellow will fit on a 1g but what are the differences?

The bushings were a night and day differance, seeing how the old rubber ones were as hard as rock. It felt like the car was quicker to react to my inputs when driving, but I did everything at once so I am not sure what did what, but I liked it. I think you will like strut bars, they are dirt cheap on ebay and only take a few minutes to put in (minor mods to the plastic strut caps in back, or just take them off and store them somewhere else). AS far as the 2 srtuts I have always ran KYB so I am partial to those. Good luck!
