Hey guys. I just installed 4 Tokico Blue shocks. All I can say is they suck! my car now bounces more than before the new shocks were installed. Is there anyway to improve it like installing new springs. Don't tell me get some nice Tokico adjustable shocks as I don't have the money right now to upgrade just after a week. Will install some Eibach Pro Kit springs make my car handle better? I hate driving on freeway now cuz I feel my car jumping.

Another question. I plan to get an intake for my first mod of my car. YEAHH!! I planning to go with K&N FPIK as I find it's only $120. Will it increase significant HP? If I have the money I will go for the Injen intake system. I know they're some cheap options too like getting a home depot intake or something, but I just lack the mechanical knowledge to do that. So is it a good choice if I go with the K&N?

All input are welcome and appreciated. Thanks.

Well for the first question..

You generally are supposed to replace the springs with the shocks to get a more balanced ride, weither it will help in your case I don't know.

K&N is a excellent choice and you WILL feel the difference when you switch. So it is a worthy upgrade.

Speaking of K&N intakes.....

I have a 1993 eclipse N/T and of course, just my luck, I can't seem to find many mods. Where coudl I get an intake for my ride?

Thanks for the reply. I didn't replace the springs cuz I trying to buy both shocks and springs off eBay, but the seller who listed the springs didn't have the springs on hand and he kept me waiting for 2 weeks. So as soon as I got the shocks I installed them, cuz my old shocks were really bad and they damaged my tires.

How hard is it to install the K&N? I have no prior experience installing any auto parts. This is by far the cheapest upgrade I can afford right now, cuz the exhaust system is still out of reach.

Thanks again.

The K&N is the easiest mod you can do. So enjoy it!;) After that everything else is alittle more involved.

Get yourself a good set a springs and it will help the ride out. If you are looking for a highend quality ride don't think it will come from buying lowend parts. The tokico blues are not terrible, but they are not the top-o-the-line either and those stock springs are just waiting to be thrown in the trash.:thumb:

I picked up a set of tien s-tech springs off of ebay for $150. SO yes you can get quality stuff for a cheap price. Just don't go and cheap out on a $20 spring set cause you can't afford it right now. Just deal with it and save till you can afford the right stuff.:D
