I am looking for feedback on supporting mods for this turbo...

The turbo on the left is Conquest stocker. Anyhow, by looking at my mods below just wondering what other mods (if any) I will need. I am saving up for FP2 cams now. My main goal is to get into the 12's. I realize this turbo has 10 sec potential but it was too good a deal to pass up. It also came with a tubular O2 housing. I'd like to run 20psi at least on this thing and eventually get 25psi out of it. Any opinions welcome.

Relevant Mods:
650cc's, 2G mass, ported EVO exhaust mani, Custom FMIC w/2.5" piping, Fidanza 8lb Flywheel, ACT 2600, mitsu metal head gasket, arp head studs, modified lifters, 92 Tranny, symborski shift kit, open K&N, 2.5" Buschur DP, 2.5" muffler, no cats, Joe P MBC, Walbro 255lph with re-wire, car lightened to 2700lbs, SAFC, Greddy 52mm EGT, Autometer phantom AF, and OBX Boost gauges

You look pretty good to go. Maybe get some 720s and a afpr. Also couldnt go wrong with a wideband to tune it nice. Let me know how this turbo runs, im in the market for a new one myself and am also considering it.

hey bud, congrats on a good buy, that turbo has put many of our customers in 11sec passes and well over 450whp. I would say depending on how much boost you plan on running get a set of 750's or 850's for higher boost, a good fuel pressure regulator, cams, and make sure you have an intercooler that flows well. This turbo makes crazy airflow so you need to make sure you can cool it. Aside from that it looks like you have most of the basics covered. Enjoy the turbo and best of luck this up coming season.

Cool. I will get 750cc's and FP2 Cams. Is an AFPR really needed? Those things are about 200 bucks alone. Thanks for the help.

LOL...I'm still a crazy newb. Hey where'd you get that picture of my car? I swear mine looks exactly like that...I even run my lights like that since I removed the pop-up motors :shhh: .

This was before the window tint and AGX/Prokit Install.

1fast, that is what I was looking for. The person I bought the turbo from didnt have a regulator either. What injectors were you running the 24psi with? I am trying to see if I can possibly get away with running 19-20psi with the 650's.

One thing I forgot to mention in my mods list is that I also have a datalogger...pretty important tool now.

24 psi was on 780s.

12.02 @ 122 <- there is definitly something wrong there OMG

Here comes the "newb" again...what is the problem with that time or mph? Both seem dang good to me. This turbo must really pull hard for someone to trap almost 130mph in the qtr mile at 22-24psi. I cant wait!

I have the same turbo on my car.
Last year was a very bad year for racing for me, but the best the car went was 126.5 mph on 26psi and having to pedal the car in 2nd gear. it should easily get to your goal. I would save up for a wideband O2 if you can (300 bucks or so). Other than some bigger injectors, you look pretty good. The 2.5 exhaust might hold you back some.

But trapping that fast is good enough for 11.3's  there was definately something wrong

I'd ditch the OBX boost gauge.

I don't want OBX telling me what my boost is - I don't trust them.

Yeah problem tranny, I buy a Shep Race tranny for next years. My best time last years was 11.60 @ 125.65 mph @ 27-28psi without tunning (read low 10 on wideband)

I was actually quoting the guy that posted his time a few posts up ... that trap speed translates to faster than a 12.2 on an awd car. Also ... he didn't say he was running 22-24 psi either.

I was also saying in my post that ME personally ran 24 psi with that turbo on 780cc injectors because someone was asking how much boost / what injectors are needed for this turbo.

just curious ... can you Pm me your engine mods? You don't have anything listed in your profile.

I've been wondering at what rpm do you guys see full boost? Also is that on a internal or external wastgate?
