I could probably stick this in the fab section too, but I didn't take pictures of the whole process.

Took a 52mm Cyberdyne Oil Pressure gauge and hacked it apart till I could get it to fit under the stereo. A-Pillar pods and vent pods were out of the question, I like everything I do to be as clean as possible. I much prefer the digital readout of my gauges over a needle as I like to see exact numbers.

The gauge I started with (not my picture):

I may eventually pick up a Cyberdyne Water Temp. gauge too and put it next to the oil pressure, but I'm not too worried about it right now.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I had an idea in my head from the beginning and I'm just glad it turned out as well as it did.

very nice man looks fantastic.

i may have to steal your idea LOL.

If you do, be sure to post pics. I'd love to see some one else attempt this and the approach they took.

What gauge pod did you use for the gauge cluster?

I can't remember exactly. It's NOT the Autometer one. It's some company in Michigan. I wouldn't recommend getting the one I have though, it fits like crap. It was substantially cheaper than the Autometer but if I could do it over again I wouldn't buy it.

NICE! how did you have to get it out thow? were they glued into the gauge casing?

The bezel ring was kind of stamped around the plastic housing. I cut the metal ring and pulled the cuts out, but you could probably pry it away and get the same results. You'll have a tough time getting it apart without destroying the bezel though.

I'll do it if you can figure out why my car won't stay running.

Seriously.
