Ok i've searched for somebody with a similar problem but couldn't find any that had any answers and their thread seemed to have died. My sunroof motor works just fine. When i try to close it however, it will go to try and close, but then kick back up and slide back. I looked for something that could cause this but couldn't really find anything in the tracks. Also, the left (drivers) side of the track doesn't seem to be connected to anything as it has a lot of forward and backward play. Anybody know a fix to this problem?

I had this same problem a few months ago.
There is a small notch at the front of the track check to see if it is Obstructed with any thing.
If that is not it and your wanting to get it closed, Here is how i got around it.

When you go to close the sunroof right before it gets rdy to seat in the roof, Kinda Toggle the switch (instead of just holding it down, press it repeatably) and that should help you close it until you can figure it out.

Sounds like we have the same problem, mine pops open but won't slide back and won't close all the way, the drivers side corner won't lock down, I ended up using duct tape for the time being. If I can't figure it out, I'm taking to the dealer and if they figure it out I'll let you know what to check!

Same thing happened to mine a long time ago.
It's probably not closing because it might not be lined up right. (one side is closing before the other) I think it stops as a precaution to protect the glass and not force it close probably breaking something.
Take the sunroof flass off, There are some screws holding sunroof to the rails on each corner. Take those off with the sunroof up. Carefully take the sunroof off. Than once it's off make sure nothing has gotten into the tracks keeping it from closing. Make sure there's no broken or loose pieces... (that was my case.) than push the button, the tabs should go all the way to the closed position. Open and close it fully a few times to make sure nothing is broken (obviously if something is broken than it's time to hit the junk yard or dealship).
Once/if everyting seems to be working ok, (important to be closed to align) Close it all the way and drop in the sunroof, install the screws but don't tighten them yet untill all of them are back in their respective holes, tighten them all at once and test it a few times.
Now go have some fun with your sunroof closed. Wait you need to have it open to have fun!!!!! :) Good Luck!

Yeah i'm gonna go take the glass off now. I got it to close the one time i did open it, but it took me 10 mins of messing around with it which was a pain. I really want it to work because i love sunroofs being open.

I took off my glass and looked at the tracks and didn't notice anything broken and i cleaned the tracks out. I did notice that the arm thing towards the back on the drivers side would just go up and down unlike the passenger side which works right. And there is a plastic peice that seems to be out of line on the drivers side. What should i do to fix this?

It seems that the drivers side rail/track (i'm not sure what you would want to call it) that holds the sunroof glass in place is not functioning right because the arm like thing towards the rear doesn't want to hold in place, it just moves on its own on the hinge while the passenger one works fine. Also the front seems to catch on something so i will be cleaning out the track really good.
