sunroof problem

Just wondering if anyone else has this problem. The rear of my sunroof mainly on the passenger side opens whenever I'm driving.
Its not seal or something. While parked it sits down below the roof, but while driving it opens up and air comes in. I took the glass off and bought used rails, tried everything i can think of and still nothing.
The weather striping looks like its in good condition but its not sealing in that corner. I dont want to buy weather striping if its not the problem, the Used rails cost me enough.

Has anyone else sunroof not sealing properly. I Dont get any water in my car whenever it rains. Just alot of air whenever I drive. Winter time is the worse

If all the screws for the track are tight, as well as the screws that hold the glass to the track, then chances are your passenger side cable is out of alignment, as in being a couple "teeth" off. Each side of the sunroof track is operated by it's own cable, and both cables travel through the motor, on opposite sides of the same geared wheel. The drive cable is actually a heavy twisted cable, not toothed, but still works with the gear as if it were.

My sunroof has been problematic for years, and the solution I found for this issue is to pull the headliner, and access the bolts for the motor. You need to loosen the bolts for the motor, so that the gear drops off the cables. IIRC, you do not need to remove the bolts completely. Then, grab the loose end of the passenger cable, on the driver side of the car since it's most all the way retracted, and pull on it to tighten it up. This will in effect reseat the cable in the right place against the gear, and ought to keep your glass from popping up on that side.
