Subs Not working!!!

ok so im installing my amp and subs, they wont work, now i can think of a few things wrong, the termanal on the positive side of my battery is a little rusted im not sure if that could be a prob but maybe, next the rca inputs, im not sure which one goes to which one, i tried them all every combanation and nothing, next the ground , i used where my spare was, there is a screw right there i connected it to, im not sure if that was the best spot but i had not much room for change only a foot of wire, next a fuse maybe, any input would be nice ty..

check that remote wire also, I had that prob when I first hooked my stuff up, hooked the remote to the wrong blue wire, fixed it and boom boom boom

check the remote wire, check your fuse, try a new ground, make sure the signal wires from the amp to the subs are all connected (even inside the box).
