stupid me, the catalytic covertor I got off eBay is the wrong size.

I bought a 3in catback on ebay and the piping that connects to the cat is only 2.25 and the piping that connect to the muffler goes up to 3in. Is this how all 3in catback are? Also I run 15psi daily how much horspower will I be missing out on with this exhaust and a stock cat and downpipe?

I bought a obx hight flow cat on ebay for a gst that said 3inlet and outlet but its only 2.25. Well I already have a 3in gst cat back on and the flanges on the cat are straight and the flange on the exhaust that connect to the cat is at a angle. What cat will work on my car? Also will hollowing out my cat be just as effective?

I would stay that way until you go turbo. You wont gain anything by going 3inch now, you will lose back pressure and be slower in low rpms if you change the downpipe to 3inch.
